Cast and crew for Iranian flick ‘Street Congestion’ have attended a presser after screening of the movie at Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.

The movie is the latest production of Mohsen Qaraei, featuring Iranian actress Baran Kowsari and her costar, actor Hamed Behdad.

Bahmah Kamyar, the producer of the flick, said in the session that “I hope the movie was satisfactory. The film went through difficult stages during production,” adding that People’s satisfaction creates sweet moments for us.

The director, meanwhile, said the street vender and the city officers dealing with Tehran’s street congestion triggered me to make a film on such issues.

I like the closing sequence of the film and I am more than happy it was a successful one, Baran Kowsari also said in the session about the movie.

In ‘Street Congestion’, Behdad and Kowsari played in yet another film together which director Qaraei said the duet was not a problem as the roles of the two artists are “different” in the flick.

Fajr Festivals are held annually in Iran during the Fajr Decade (literally meaning ten days of dawn), which marks the anniversary of the ten days from the return of Imam Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic, to Iran (February 1) until the victory day of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) in 1979.

Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The screening sessions will last for 8 days from January 29 to February 9.
